Many of the industrial strength nylon straps equipped in those truck are almost bombproof. You can lift a plane with a few (if the structure of the plane can withhold the pressure.)
I think this is more show than go really, although the truck was stuck in the icy mud, its engine was still firing and must be engaged and running at the same time.
