Serial hybrid (i.e. engine running as range extender) is proved to be more economical. Cars run in full electric mode all the times, the engine is just to kick in for charging the battery. It release the range anxiety of EV car owners while keeping the price down.
I'm interested to develop a high efficient 1-cyl or 2-cyl engine for serial hybrid too. |
