I think there was a suction from previous setup that opened the waste gate. After they disarmed the hose on for the wastegate for a while, the pressure inside relieved and then it could be closed.
That is indeed the only probable explanations that we can think of. Now Letsrock’s coupe is healthy once again, none of us dare to touch the engine bay again in worry of it being jinx!
