I once had similar problem with a printer, turn out that the USB cable connector had some rust in it, changing the USB cable had solved it.
In your case, may be you can unplug the computer and then use some contact cleaner to clean to the USB connector plugs, wait for it to completely dry out and then try again.
If yours is a desktop PC, you can buy a PCI - USB card and try it, I guess it should cost around $100- as no one else would be buying them nowadays. |
