My S4 2.7V6 with 2 Turbo consumes around $1.70 per km, normal driving, busy traffic in tunnels and air-conditioning...
Vigerous driving but air-con off in SMD is almost the same fuel consumption.

To conclude, your S3 fuel consumption will be around $1.5 in any situation. I guess..
